Lucerne Valley Elementary School was hit twice in two days by a burglar who stole a total of three flat-panel TVs and one MP3 player.
At 6:01 a.m. on July 25, the school reported the first incident. According to a San Bernardino County Sheriff report, someone pried open doors and entered to classrooms on the northwest corner of the school. When inside, the burglar stole two flat screen TVs and an MP3 player.
Two days later, at 3:27 a.m., a security alarm alerted a second theft had occurred. Again, a locked door was pried open and someone entered a classroom, stealing a 32-inch TV. Afterward, according to the report, evidence revealed the burglar jumped out a north window of the room and ran westbound through the desert.
